Duo-tour - Celebrate the Day of the Dead
Experience the Day of the Dead through the eyes of the locals
In this special, limited time tour you will experience the Day of the Dead. From 8am to 2pm, visit a coffee plantation and learn about how coffee is processed and how this family celebrate the Day of the Dead at home. See the altar they build for the departed and what they offer to them; together, we will eat the same food they prepare for themselves on this special day
From 4pm to 9pm, visit the oldest church of the region, the city hall and the cemetery of the original Huatulco. Learn the local history and tradition of celebrating the departed. Learn about and experience the marigold decorations and offerings to the souls.
This tour may be experienced in the following ways (pricing from the Huatulco area):
- 8am - 2pm: Coffee Plantation Tour, 650 Mexican Pesos
- 4pm - 9pm: Visit the Cemetery, 450 Mexican Pesos
- 8am - 9pm: Both tours, 1100 Mexican Pesos
Space for this tour is minimal. Tours must have a minimum of 6 and maximum of 10 people per van. Private parties and custom tours requests are welcome! Or sign up with smaller groups and we will try to fill the van!
